Hal is co-lead manager for Large Cap Growth and co-manager for Mid Cap Growth. Starting work in the financial services industry in 1982, Hal joined FAF Advisors in 2002. Previously, he was a portfolio manager at Lutheran Brotherhood, the manager of institutional equities at Shearson Lehman Brothers in Chicago, and an institutional sales person at Oppenheimer.
Hal graduated from the University of Rochester where he received a B.A. in economics. He also received an M.B.A. in finance from New York University. In his spare time, Hal coaches youth baseball and lacrosse, and he also serves on the Investment Committee at Temple Israel, Minneapolis.
