Tim provides investment analysis and trade recommendations for high-grade and high-yield portfolios, focusing on basics, electric utilities, and transportation. He began working in the financial industry in 1987. Prior to joining the firm in 2000, Tim worked as a corporate bond analyst at ReliaStar Investment Research. Prior to that, he worked as a senior financial analyst for Northwestern National Life.

Tim received a B.A. from Augustana College and an M.B.A. in finance from the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the CFA Institute, as well as the CFA Society of Minnesota.
